In this 2011 recording, the Tempo Reale Electroacoustic Ensemble (TREE) septet is conducted by Neapolitan composer Elio Martusciello.
These 43 minutes of free improvisation, originally associated to the video series “To extend the visibility” by Martusciello himself, are a perfect exemple of the concept of “conducted improvisation”, in between free jazz open form and formally structured group improvisation.
This release is the first of a series associating Elli with TEMPO REALE, an electronic music research, production, and educational centre based in Florence, Italy, and founded in 1987 by composer Luciano Berio.
