François Larini (aka squncr) sound practice is focused on ambient, drones, tapes, field recording, improvisation and archives balancing between personal narrative and ethnographic documents. He lives and works in Nice (France).
His work has been presented – in the context of exhibitions, broadcasts and live performances – in the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland and France. He collaborated on several projects with visual artists, choreographers and curators.
In 2016, he received the 1st prize of the international contest Bruckner Unlimited, supported by the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, for a sound piece revisiting the 4th movement of Anton Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4.
